Updating Arch Linux from a Core Install

Recently I tried to made a fresh archlinux installation, with my old iso (don’t remember exactly what version is)… Yo, first, I installed it with the local mirror only, without any update. The installation was ok, I rebooted, then try to update, using the arch linux home help about the /lib turn into a symlink to /usr/lib. Sweet mistake. That crap just don’t work.

Enable KMS on i915 GraphicCard

Acccording to Arch Linux wiki, Kernel Mode Setting (KMS) is a method for setting display resolution and depth in the kernel space rather than user space. KMS enables native resolution in the framebuffer and allows for instant console (tty) switching. KMS also enables newer technologies (such as DRI2) which will help reduce artifacts and increase 3D performance, even kernel space power-saving.
